Travel Grants
Student Travel Grants Application Requirements
Student Travel Grants are available for a limited number of students planning to attend annual and biannual AGU meetings. This program provides financial assistance to U.S. and international young scientists and students who have little or no support from research contracts or grants, and who are presenting for the first time an oral/poster presentation as first author at the meeting. Application requirements and funding amounts vary by meeting.

Limited number of grants for partial funding for students who are first authors and presenters of a poster or oral presentation.
Bruno Martinelli Travel Grants
Annual (international conference or workshop) Ex. IAVCEI-IASPEI
The Bruno Martinelli Fellowship provides funding for Latin American science graduate students or early career scientists to attend an international meeting or workshop, and present a paper on volcanic processes. A fund supporting this fellowship was established in 2001 by colleagues of Dr. Bruno Martinelli, a Swiss volcanologist who worked in South America and personally provided travel assistance to young scientists.

Ocean Sciences Meeting Student Travel Grants
Limited number of grants for partial funding for students who are first authors and presenters of a poster or oral presentation.
Riecker Travel Grants — Chapman Conferences
Limited number of travel grants for students to attend selected Chapman Conferences or topical meetings. Funds provided by a bequest from Robert E. Riecker, a long-time AGU member and supporter.
