On January 11th the US Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) released the draft of the third National Climate Assessment (NCA) for a 3 month public review period. The NCA is a climate status report authorized every four years under the Global Change Research Act of 1990. It is based on the best available science and written by hundreds of scientists and experts from academia; government; the private; and non-profit sectors. After considering public input the USGCRP will issue the final report in early 2014.
Join the Security and Sustainability Forum and Second Nature in a free webinar hosting Kathy Jacobs, Director of the National Climate Assessment and a panel of NCA lead authors to discuss report findings and recommendations. The facts of climate change are very well documented. In the webinar, the panel will focus on the priorities to address the destabilizing threats of a changing climate.
